SVG to PNG is a rasterize-and-download step, not a vector editor. The PNG size follows the SVG’s rendered dimensions (and any resize you set).
Email, Microsoft Office, and some CMS fields still choke on SVG. SVG to PNG is the compatibility export.
Icons should be exported at 1×/2×/3× you actually need. A 16px SVG to PNG will look soft if you stretch it in CSS.
