Asset Melt Studio is a JPG to PNG converter that runs entirely on your device. Need a lossless intermediate from a photo — for example a paint tool that prefers PNG, or a composite that will be edited again.

JPG to PNG (JPEG to PNG) does not add detail. It stores the already-lossy JPEG pixels in a lossless container, so the PNG is usually larger.
That is still useful: many editors, print kiosks, and “transparent PNG” workflows want PNG even when the source was a photo.
Do not convert JPG to PNG to “improve quality.” You cannot. Convert JPG to PNG to change the container and optionally add edits (crop, resize) locally.

Drop JPEGs. Oxipng writes a lossless PNG of the decoded bitmap. Reduce palette can shrink logos-from-photos but will posterize real photographs.
Size budget on PNG binary-searches palette colors — usually wrong on photo JPEGs; resize or use JPG to WebP for KB caps.

Leave Reduce palette off for photos. If the JPEG is a graphic (a poster saved as JPG), palette PNG-8 can be TinyPNG-small.
Crop and resize before PNG so you are not Oxipng-ing 24 MP for a 600px asset.
Filename pattern `{name}.png` keeps names obvious in a ZIP.
If you needed smaller files, you wanted JPG to WebP, not JPG to PNG.
Image processing is 100% client-side in your browser with WebAssembly. Your photos are not uploaded, I cannot see or recover them, and sampled session replay is UI-only and does not include image pixels (media is blocked). The site still sends usage analytics and crash reports — details are on the privacy page. That includes every JPG to PNG job — the converter never needs your files on a server.
